  • Direct ongoing development of the iMeds system in collaboration with solution providers to optimise work-management platforms.

Risk and Supplier Management

  • Identify and mitigate risks in alignment with industry standards and ensure supplier development meets B-BBEE targets.

Board and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Prepare and present strategic business plans, financial reports, and performance metrics to the IMS Board.

Qualifications and Experience required

  • Matric; preference for tertiary qualification in commerce-related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in senior management roles, with a focus on operations or financial management, preferably within healthcare or related industries

Job DescriptionnaThe Diversified Credit business is responsible for the Old Mutual Shareholder and Liability Driven Investments (“LDI”) diversified credit mandates. The Team supports the business in delivering on its strategic objectives through sound risk management capabilities achieved through counterparty analysis, demonstrable sector knowledge and expertise, legal analysis and instrument rating.

The Diversified Credit book comprises of diverse credit investments across inter alia Property/REITs, Corporates, Africa and International Credit, State Owned Entities and Municipalities, Securitizations, and Leverage Buy-Outs. This role is responsible for all aspects of credit risk management for portfolio of investments focusing on credit analysis, modelling, review of legal documentation, and ongoing monitoring across both unlisted and listed credit investments. The individual would also be required to support the Head of Credit.

Key Result Areas:

  • Counterparty and sector evaluation, legal analysis and instrument structuring and pricing.
  • Preparation and presentation of credit/investment proposals to the relevant Credit/ Investment Committee(s).

The role is responsible for providing assistance with Old Mutual Life Assurance Company (South Africa) Limited’s (OMLAC (SA)) regulatory reporting to the Prudential Authority (PA) as well as other regulatory bodies and stakeholders. The role will report to the Regulatory Reporting Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Preparing the quarterly, bi–annual and annual South African Reserve Bank returns (B30, B31, C68, B16 and B21).

  • Identify and execute on innovative methods to build own insurance portfolio.
  • Prospect for new clients through networking, cold-calling and door to door canvassing.
