Job DescriptionThe role is to provide risk management support for the lines of business in the identification, measurement and aggregation of credit risk through appropriate practices and processes. The incumbent will act as the subject matter expert on credit risk management and provides guidance and structure to the lines of business to ensure credit risk management processes are both appropriately implemented and sound to ensure the business achieve its objectives.

The incumbent will also act as a subject matter expert of model risk management and provides guidance and structure to the lines of business to ensure model governance processes are both appropriately implemented and sound.

The successful candidate must have experience in diverse methodologies and deep experience in quantitative analytics to identify and solve complex and/or undefined credit risk problems.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Operations and Development 

  • Lead the development of the function and think strategically about how to improve, optimize, and expand it to meet the goals and objectives of the business, under the direction of the Chief Risk Officer.
  • Partner with the business at line 2 to mature risk management and prevention philosophy.

Technical Effort Management 

  • Oversee and manage the credit risks across the credit life cycle and throughout all on-going projects.

Old Mutual Finance is currently seeking to hire a OMF Credit Analyst – Portfolio Analytics.  The successful incumbent will report to the Manager: Portfolio Analytics and Forecasting and be responsible for:

  • The development and documentation of forecasting and simulation methodologies to inform business planning.
  • Forecasting of key metrics relating to the OMF portfolio and its operations.
  • Analyse performance across the portfolio to gain insight and provide recommendations.
  • Monitor and prove business effectiveness of policy rules across the credit life-cycle
  •  Produce ad-hoc analysis (where required) to answer business questions.
  • Assist in improving the portfolio narrative as it relates to OMF’s credit function.
  • Timeous and accurate production of reports to track performance and explain variance to business forecasts.

Old Mutual Finance is currently seeking to hire a Data Analyst. The successful incumbent will report to the OMF Senior Data Analyst and will be expected to:

  • Create reports and build dashboards that enable users to make data-led decisions and track key business outcomes. This includes maintenance of existing reports and the automation of recurring reports.
  • Analyse and make recommendations based on data to inform and develop business strategy.
  • Provide ongoing support to users to ensure successful adoption and troubleshooting of the solutions developed. Support users through their UAT processes, including testing and documentation of the solution developed.
  • Prioritise and work autonomously, yet collaboratively, when needed.
  • Contribute to the BI strategy and develop and maintain sound knowledge of the Old Mutual Finance business, vision and values.

Minimum Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification essential

Responsibilities
