Orlando Pirates are in the market for a couple of marquee signings.

Orlando Pirates did not sign any new players in the recent January PSL transfer window.

However, this is set to change. Firstly, Pirates have been spotted with TWO new players in training with both players lined up as possible new signings. Moreover, the Bucs latest transfer target is this Bafana Bafana midfielder.

PIRATES TARGET R7-MILLION BAFANA MIDFIELDER

Pirates priority transfer target is Sinoxolo Kwayiba from Chippa United.

“Expect him (Kwayiba) to make the switch at the end of the season and it could be one of the big deals, which could involve a player swap and money. Pirates are very interested in him,” the statement read on SoccerLaduma.

Moreover, the Bafana midfielder is also one of Kaizer Chiefs’ targets. Therefore, the Soweto giants are set to engage in a bidding war for the Chippa midfielder.

Meaning, Pirates currently lead the race for Kwayiba’s signature. The Bafana midfielder is currently valued at roughly R7 MILLION (R6.7 million, according to Transfermarkt.

EXCITING MOVES ON THE CARDS

Following a quiet transfer window, plans are underway to recruit a couple of exciting new players in the next transfer window. Additionally, Pirates are linked with this striker who plays for their PSL rivals.

Meanwhile, another huge Bafana Bafana star is being targeted by the Bucs.

Whilst, another two players are close to signing first team contracts with Pirates. So, Jose Riveiro and Bucs management are playing the long game in terms of transfers.

So, having not signed any players recently, they have more time to build from within. Developing the youth while also taking time to ensure they sign the right players.

Therefore, Riveiro is building squad depth for the future.
