There is no transfer window without Thembinkosi Lorch’s drama. The Mamelodi Sundowns star is trending after he shared a photo while wearing a Maritzburg United jersey.

The former Orlando Pirates star first shared the photo in a now-deleted Instagram Story.

IS THEMBINKOSI LORCH LEAVING MAMELODI SUNDOWNS?

Thanks to his huge social media following, the post has gained thousands of comments and reactions since it dropped online.

However, Thembinkosi Lorch and Mamelodi Sundowns have yet to address the now-viral photo that has since implicated his future in the mix.

Thembinkosi Lorch joined Mamelodi Sundowns last year from Orlando Pirates but has struggled with form and game time.

His stint with the Mamelodi Sundowns star hasn’t been as colourful as everyone hoped. Thembinkosi Lorch’s cryptic post has since sparked exit rumours that have yet to be addressed.

After all, the post comes barely a few days after Mamelodi Sundowns fans asked the club to address his 38th birthday post to Mokwena.

The star took to Instagram to share an old photo with Mokwena from when he was still at Orlando Pirates instead of Mamelodi Sundowns.

Mamelodi Sundowns Online Branch took to social media to air their grievances with a press release. They want Lorch to be punished for showing disloyalty.

With his recent post, fans were more than convinced that the star might be trying to force a move from Sundowns despite joining the club last season.

ANOTHER BONGANI ZUNGU CASE?

Some likened his situation to Bongani Zungu’s woes at the club during his stint. Like Zungu, Thembinkosi Lorch was Rulani Mokwena’s favourite.

He seemingly gave him some minutes and often defended him for his poor form.

However, Zungu recently dropped a bombshell when he revealed that his exit was personal since it was mental health-related.

Could Thembinkosi Lorch be having the same problems at Mamelodi Sundowns? However, without an official statement from the club and player, the reports are just nothing but transfer rumours.

CAREER

After all, let’s dive into Thembinkosi Lorch’s illustrious career. The 31-year-old attacking midfielder started his career with Katlehong Young Stars.

From Katlehong Young Stars, he made his senior debut with Maluti FET College FC in 2013.  In 2015, Thembinkosi Lorch joined Orlando Pirates.

However, he was loaned out during his first two seasons. He played for Cape Town All Stars and Chippa United during the 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 seasons before returning to the Orlando Pirates.

Since then, he has been winning big. The 2018/2019 season was arguably Thembinkosi Lorch’s best season.

No doubt his stellar season with Orlando Pirates saw DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small dropping a smash hit in his honour titled ‘Lorch.’ Last year, he joined Mamelodi Sundowns from Orlando Pirates.
