Job Responsibilities
As a Cashier, you will: Handle payments and ensure all transactions are accurate. Make sure every item is paid for before leaving the store. Manage cash, including floats and petty cash, ensuring no shortages. Process payments correctly and give customers the right change. Perform daily cash-ups and drop money into the safe. File all necessary paperwork related to cashier transactions. Keep your work area neat and follow company rules.
Requirements for the Cashier Position
Education: Grade 12 (Matric) OR at least 1 year of relevant work experience. Must be able to speak English and the local language spoken in the area. Must be good at basic calculations and have strong admin skills. Must be comfortable working weekends, public holidays, and shifts. Must work well under pressure.
