Rand Water is currently holding a vacant post for a Groundsman who is going to be based in Vereeniging

Job Advert Summary
Reporting to the Groundsman, the successful candidate will ensure that plant and property are kept presentable, safe and reliable as required by Rand Water with regards to general day to day maintenance of plant and property, removal of refuse, road maintenance and fencing.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12/ Matric
  • Basic plant knowledge
  • Safety training will serve as an advantage

Primary Duties

  • Maintain station and property by sweeping, collecting building rubble with shovels, forks and rakes as well as collecting domestic rubbish bins on the property.
  • Maintaining of roads and fencing. Perform excavations by digging trenches for pipe repairs to be done.
  • Assist with loading and off-loading of building material onto/from trucks by physically loading/off-loading items.
  • Fixing of pot holes on site and perform general housekeeping duties.
