Job Description
RCL FOODS is recruiting for an experienced Fixed Assets Clerk to join the dynamic Finance Team, based at our National Office, in Durban.
The successful incumbent will be responsible for day-to-day fixed asset functions and will report to the Fixed Asset Controller.
The Fixed Assets Clerk will have the responsibility to maintain accurate, reliable records within SAP fixed asset registers and control the fixed assets additions and disposals for RCL FOODS.
Minimum Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Finance/Accounting,
- Knowledge on IFRS would be advantageous,
- Minimum of 12 months’ work experience within the finance/accounting function
- Experience with handling insurance claims and / or working in a financial environment would be advantageous,
- MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) competence essential.
- SAP Experience would be an advantage.
- Ability to take ownership and accountability for tasks and activities and
- Can demonstrate effective self-management in terms of planning and prioritising, and self-development.
- Ability to follow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards of work are consistently and accurately maintained.
- Must demonstrate the ability to problem solve effectively.
Duties & Responsibilities
Fixed Asset Life Cycle Administration
Capture details into investment orders for release by the Fixed Asset Accountant.
Capitalise and capture completed projects / assets once checked and authorised by the Fixed Asset Accountant.
Retire sold/redundant assets once checked and authorised by the Fixed Asset Accountant.
Post intra-company transfers based on authorised documentation.
Asset Verification
Print and distribute fixed asset reports for physical verification of the Group’s fixed assets by operations.
Ensure signed, authorised physical verifications are received back from all relevant operations.
Follow up on documentation required to action amendments resulting from the physical verification.
Reporting Administration
Assist the Fixed Asset Accountant with compilation of information for any fixed asset reports required.
General Administration
File and safeguard records within area of responsibility.
Compile ad hoc spreadsheets and analysis when required.
Information and Data management
Capture data accurately and regularly onto SAP to enable access to reliable data and reporting for trend analysis and decision making.
Teamwork and Self-Management
Take ownership and accountability for tasks and activities and demonstrate effective self-management in terms of planning and prioritising, and self-development.
Follow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards of work are consistently and accurately maintained.

The successful incumbent will administer the records of RCL FOODS suppliers / vendors that enter into a transaction with the Business.
Minimum Requirements
Matric with mathematics and accountancy
1 years creditors experience preferable or similar experience within a financial department
SAP experience would be advantageous
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Duties & Responsibilities
Creditor Administration-
Match invoices and credit notes with SAP receipts in GR/IR account.
Check invoices and credit notes ensuring compliance with VAT legislation.
Verify supplier details on invoice match to Masterdata on SAP.
Capture invoices and credit notes onto the SAP system.
Capture invoices under query onto the Sharepoint system
Refer any differences between supplier statements, invoices and receipts and/or purchase orders to the relevant Creditors Clerk for investigation.
Collate supplier invoices and supplier statements.
Batch and file invoices and credit notes
Information and Data Management-
Accurately and regularly capture data into the information system to enable access to reliable data and reporting for trend analysis and decision making.
Ad hoc Administration-
File and safeguard records within area of responsibility.
Compile ad hoc spreadsheets.
Ad-hoc requests from Creditors Clerk and Controller
Team Work and Self-Management –
Take ownership and accountability for tasks and activities and demonstrate effective self-management in terms of planning, prioritizing and self-development.

RCL Foods is recruiting for a driven, highly energized and numerically focused Cashbook Clerk within the baking business unit.
The suitable candidate will be responsible to provide accounting support and insight for the relevant customer principal/depot. To keep track of the business units financial transactions. Using standardized guidelines, the transactions are recorded, summarized, and presented in a financial report or financial statement.
This role will be based in Empangeni and reporting to the Depot Manager.
This role is a Permanent role.
Minimum Requirements
Education:
NQF level 4/5, Matric
Experience:
1yrs experience in a credit control and cash handling
environment
General
Proficient in MSExcel
Previous experience of JDE or an ERP system
advantageous.
Duties & Responsibilities
Daily Receipts Processing
Receive and Process Credit Notes, Discounts ensure that these documents have been authorised
Count all cash from drivers under the view of the camera system and capture on Driver cash up
spreadsheet
Follow up on any shortages and gather reasons for driver shortages these are to be reported within 24
hrs (Contact Driver / Driver Supervisor to Identify Reasons for Short Payment)
Receipt cash up into the drivers JDE customer account
Process authorised petty cash payments
Issue petty cash for authorised casual wage expenditure
General Processing
Maintain filing system
Ordering and issuing of company pre-printed stationary
Cash Handling
Accurate counting of cash and reconciling of daily banking
Daily reconciliation of cash vault machine
