Purpose of the Job

To provide efficient and professional Equipment Reliability, Project and Maintenance Engineering services and delivering cost effective and competitive logistical solutions through the implementation of Engineering & Maintenance technical initiatives in order to deliver safe, efficient, available and superior performing assets.

What you’ll have done before:

Baseline:

  • NQF Level 7 (Degree in Engineering)
  • 4 years Engineering experience within implementation of Reliability initiatives with O&G industry

Advantageous:

  • Projects execution experience
  • PrEng/ PrTechEng
  • ICMEESA/ SAIEE/ SAIMechE
     

What you’ll be doing:

SYSTEMS, PROCEDURES, STANDARDS, AND INFRASTRUCTURE DESIGN:

  • Develop Engineering based procedures, standing instructions and guidelines where required to facilitate compliance to legislation, relevant PTS or best practice .
  • Successful implementation of Reliability Engineering frameworks
  • Identify areas of potential improvement for outsource (non-critical) of maintenance activities.
  • Perform continuous improvement techniques to streamline work processes and flows.
  • Ensure our standards are aligned to international codes and best practices.
  • Present monthly departmental KPI’s and to track progress.

 

HSEQ AND PROCESS SAFETY MANAGEMENT:

  • Support implementation of the Loss of Primary Containment (LOPC) and the Fire Prevention & Mitigation Frameworks (FPMF), and all corresponding sub element requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Support implementation of the Mandatory Control Framework (MCF) as it relates to Engineering & Maintenance and all corresponding sub element requirements to ensure compliance. 
  • Ensure control of Gap Closure Plans to meet commitments to PSM and Petronas DBE.
  • Successful implementation of PSM programs, initiatives, and studies to ensure compliance. 
  • Participation, conducting and close-out of mandatory and company Audits.  
  • Ensure compliance to HSEQ and MOC policies and procedures.
  • HSEQ liability/cost of rehabilitation/improvements.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT: 

  • Create and sign-off of Engineering Scope of Works, RFI’s, Bill of Quantities and Bill of Materials required for execution of Project work and SLA’s. 
  • Construction of new builds and/or refurbishment/upgrading of existing infrastructure as per design • MOC management as required. 
  • On time, Operational as per Project Plan, within Approved funds and with no over expenditure.
  • Prepare documented designs that meet Engineering requirements and ensure successful handover of Projects and “backup” support.
  • Contractor Management and Mobilization.
