CONTROLLER: CREDITORS
Duties will entail: Co-ordinates and controls the application of accounting procedures by
attending to the processing, verification and reconciliation of expenditure accounts •
Generating and interpreting expenditure reports with a view to providing explanations on
specific deviations • Proceeding with adjustments and expenditure information processing
sequences to ensure transactional records are accurate and correct • Preforms specific tasks/
activities associated with creditor accounts and the payment thereof •Co-ordinates and
controls sequences associated with the verification and provision of information related to
expenditure transactions • Performs specific tasks/activities associated with the processing
and updating of transactional information with respect to specific creditor accounts on the
financial system • Co-ordinating the recording and processing procedures of expenditure
transaction • Provide information on the status of payments and specific procedures
Minimum requirements: National Diploma (NQF6) majoring in Accounting • 2 years’
experience in financial environment • Computer literate (MS Office) • Valid code B driver’s
license• Good communication skills in two of the three official languages of the Western Cape
•Aptitude for figures •Be able to work independently • Understanding accounting principles
and processes.
Preferred requirements: B degree in Accounting with Financial Accounting as a major
subject • 2 years’ experience in financial environment • Understanding accounting principles
and processes • Knowledge of SCM policies • Knowledge of MFMA.

PAYROLL CLERK
Duties will entail: General payroll administration • Preparation of requisitions for face value
documents • Recording of minutes of meetings held • Recording and capturing of timesheets
for overtime and standby allowance payments, medical aid deductions and other payroll
related transactions• Reconcile AA88 issued by SARS •EMP201 data capturing •Updating
records with and from third parties •Record keeping through accurate filing system, sorting
of sensitive payroll information •Internal organizational communication •Preparation of
payment vouchers •Reporting of any irregularities and/or discrepancies to Head: Payroll
Minimum requirements: Grade 12 with accounting as subject • 1-year relevant experience

LIBRARY ASSISTANT: VREDENBURG X2
(35 HOURS – CONTRACT TILL JUNE 2027)
Applicants must be in possession of a: Grade 12• 1 year experience within the library
environment • Computer literate (MS Office) •Member of LIASA will be an added advantage•
Good communication skills in two of the three official languages of the Western Cape • A
Valid Code B driver’s licence would be an added advantage.
Duties will entail: Directly assisting the public in the general use of the library’s resources
and with reference enquiries • Performing circulation control functions •Assisting with
developing a reading culture• Assisting with promoting library service and outreach
programmes • Assisting the public with basic reading and information enquiries • Performing
necessary administrative tasks to ensure that the library functions effectively • Maintain
collections using established procedures and systems • Apply basic concepts and knowledge
at aspects within the library and information services discipline • Basic understanding,
knowledge and application of aspects, principles practises and procedures within the library
and information service discipline.
