The above position at SANParks is on a fixed-term contract position up to the end of March 2027 Renewable on mutual agreement. The Salary is on a B4 band, 11 823.25 Salary + R 2 426.12 housing allowance per month as the incumbent will be staying outside the park (own accommodation should be provided).

CLOSING DATE: 31 JULY 2024

LOCATION: MEERKAT NATIONAL PARK

Requirements

  • Grade 12
  • Code 08 driver’s license
  • Computer literacy in MS Office
  • 2 years of experience with contracting teams/management of personnel
  • Experience in health and safety management and compliance
  • Experience in invasive alien plant clearing is essential for this position

Added Advantages:

  • Experience in Rehabilitation techniques
  • Basic GIS competency and experience

Responsibilities

  • Assist with project-related planning
  • Assist with the management and mentoring of EPWP contract
  • Ensure the management of quality, production and monitoring of task-based operations linked to the project
  • Ensure compliance with program standards/norms and Health and Safety requirements
  • Assist with mapping and data recording for the project linked to activities
  • Assist with administrative tasks
  • Report on project progress
  • Communicate and liaise with relevant stakeholders
