Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco are proving that love isn’t just about romantic gestures – it’s also about lending a helping hand in times of need.
The couple has been doing their bit to support the heroic first responders battling the ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles.
SELENA GOMEZ AND HER BOYFRIEND GIVE BACK
On Thursday, 16 January, the pair shared their efforts on social media. They showcased their commitment to those putting their lives on the line, according to People.
The L.A. fires, which started on 7 January 2025, have wreaked havoc across the region, forcing tens of thousands of residents to evacuate.
Tragically, 25 lives have already been lost, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner.
CELEBRITIES LOSE THEIR JOBS
Many celebrities, including Leighton Meester, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Joshua Jackson, have suffered the devastation of losing their homes.
In light of this tragedy, first responders and the National Guard have been working tirelessly to control the flames and protect the community.
On 16 January, Gomez and Blanco shared a heartwarming clip on Gomez’s Instagram Stories. The clip showed them working together to unbox food packages to distribute to the first responders.
GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY
The couple wore protective masks as they placed food onto tables, clearly grateful for the men and women who had been risking their lives.
“Grateful for these individuals,” wrote Gomez, who has always been a strong advocate for giving back to the community.
Blanco, 36, also took to his Instagram, posting a picture of a van filled with drinks from brands like CELSIUS Energy Drinks, Liquid I.V, Prime, and SuperGoop, according to E News.
These brands donated items to the cause. “Thank you so much guys,” he wrote, tagging the brands that made the donations possible.
