Purpose of the Job

To manage and ensure regular and economic sourcing & supply of finished bulk product to South Africa and neighbouring countries (BLNS) and develop system plus trading business to optimize on logistics/economics in co-ordination with Enterprise Optimization and Supply.

What You’ll have done before:

Baseline:

  • NQF Level 7 (Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or relevant)
  • 6 years’ experience in Oil and Gas with minimum of 3 years in Supply Chain environment
  • 2 years’ experience in Trading and Supply of crude and/or Petroleum products

Advantageous:

  • Degree in Commerce or Engineering
  • Experience in South African operations for supply of petroleum
  • Experience in South African operations for supply of petroleum

What You’ll be doing:

PRODUCT SOURCING

  • Sourcing and supply of all finished products, bulk fuels and refinery feedstocks (reformate) for South Africa and its neighbouring countries (BLNS)

CONTRACT MANAGEMENT

  • Negotiates terms and conditions of contracts and manages the implementation, operation and reconciliation of contractual agreements with external suppliers

STRATEGIC INITIATIVE SUPPORT

  • Provide support to the strategic initiatives to ensure system supply trading profitability and system plus trading profitability

SYSTEM MANAGEMENT

  • Manage and provide support to the system stakeholders (internal/external) to ensure smooth and efficient business operations

RISK MANAGEMENT

  • Recommend Price Risk and Hedging Strategies in order to minimize the price risk and losses that may arise from physical products sourcing
