Springboks wives and girlfriends (WAGS) – like Rachel Kolisi – are becoming the new social media influencers. This means lucrative brand endorsement and ambassador deals with everything from car dealerships to beauty houses.

WHAT CARS SPRINGBOK WAGS DRIVE?

The Springboks are known for driving the biggest and best cars on the market, from Mercedes-Benz to Land Rovers.

But what do their wives drive?

Like captain Siya Kolisi, his soon-to-be ex-wife, Rachel Kolisi, is a brand influencer for Mercedes-Benz. Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen her post some of the classiest convertibles and SUVs.

Eben Etzebeth’s wife, Anlia, also represents Mercedes-Benz. In October, she posted a look at the GLC 300d, which is valued at R1,5 million!

Cheslin Kolbe’s wife Layla is also a Merc girl and drives a GLE, priced at up to R2 million!

Springboks flyhalf Handre Pollard’s wife Marise was spotted driving a Lexus NX while recently visiting South Africa.

A CAREER OF THEIR OWN

Although they’re recognised as the wives of Springboks, the women behind the national squad are actually highly qualified professionals.

Here are what a few of them do…

  • Layla Kolbe, Hope Mortimer – Chartered accounts
  • Mine de Klerk – Pharmacist
  • Anlia Etzebeth – Singer and songwriter
  • Verna Libbok, Marise Pollard – Teachers
  • Anastacia Mbonambi – Radiation therapist
  • Holly Le Roux – Dietician
