Ukraine relaunches e-Visa programme for South Africans
Ukraine resumes e-Visas
Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs is once again issuing electronic visas (e-Visa) for the entry of foreigners from 45 countries into Ukraine.
As reported by Travel News, the Department General for Consular Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine stated on its website that e-Visas can be obtained for tourism, private, business, educational, cultural, and scientific purposes, for journalists, athletes, and for medical treatment as a single- or double-entry visa from 19 February.
This comes after Ukraine suspended its e-Visa programme back in 2022 due to the conflict with Russia.
E-Visa applicants must submit their documents no earlier than three months, and no later than one business day for urgent applications, or three business days for regular applications.
Costs of obtaining an e-Visa are as follows:
- A single-entry e-Visa costs $20 (R367).
- A double-entry e-Visa costs $30 (R550).
- This fee will doubled if it as an urgent application.
