A significant initiative under UN Women is the Unstereotype Alliance, which serves as a global platform aimed at leveraging the power of advertising to drive positive social change. The core objective of the alliance is to eradicate harmful stereotypes in media and advertising while promoting a more inclusive representation of diverse identities including race, class, age, ability, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, and education. By unifying a coalition of leading private sector stakeholders, the Alliance works towards the common goal of eliminating gender bias from advertising practices globally.
To effectively implement its vision at the grassroots level, the Unstereotype Alliance has launched the National Expansion Programme (NEP). Additionally, the consultant will support preparations for the upcoming launch of two new National Chapters in China and Indonesia by mid-2026.

- Support Launch of New National Chapters:
- Conduct preliminary research and compile necessary materials to evaluate the viability of prospective new National Chapters.
- Support national focal points in understanding the member recruitment process, coupling it with Due Diligence and Unstereotype Alliance materials to ensure smooth onboarding for new members.
- Liaise with the UA Secretariat for Global Coordination:
- Collaborate with the NEP Focal Points and UA Secretariat to provide timely updates on National Chapters for various outreach platforms including newsletters, social media, and All-Member Calls.
- Prepare briefing notes and strategic contributions for engagement in global initiatives and events, such as Cannes Lions and UNGA.
- Collect and analyze impact data from National Chapters for reporting purposes, ensuring accurate tracking for the UA’s annual report.
- Provide Operational and Administrative Support:
- Collaborate with the PSP Due Diligence Help Desk to enhance submission processes and align with the Private Sector Engagement strategy.
- Review and analyze incoming member requests, performing initial Due Diligence checks where necessary.
- Assist in the development of internal NEP resources, including Welcome Packs and documentation for new members.
- Support administrative functions concerning finance, procurement, and compliance, fielding queries as needed.
