How You Can Make a Difference:
UNFPA is at the forefront of creating a world where every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe, and every young person’s potential is fulfilled. Through its strategic plan for 2022-2025, UNFPA is dedicated to achieving three transformative results:
- Ending Preventable Maternal Deaths: Focused on improving healthcare services before, during, and after childbirth, UNFPA works tirelessly to ensure that every woman has access to life-saving maternal health care.

In the context of the ongoing challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, UNFPA’s mission is more crucial than ever. The strategic plan calls on all stakeholders—governments, organizations, and individuals—to “build forward better,” address the pandemic’s negative impacts, recover lost gains, and work towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030.
