Unica Iron and Steel is inviting unemployed youth to apply for apprenticeship opportunities within the company for 2025. This is a great opportunity for those interested in pursuing a career in the engineering field. Unica Iron and Steel is offering the following apprenticeships:

Available Positions:

  • Electrical Engineering Apprentice
  • Millwright Apprentice
  • Fitting and Turning Apprentice
  • Boilermaking/Welding Apprentice
  • Instrumentation Apprentice
  • Plumbing Apprentice

Minimum Requirements:

To apply, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Qualification: N2 Certificate and/or N3 Certificate in the specific trade applying for (e.g., N2/N3 Electrical Engineering for Electrical Engineering Apprentice) or equivalent.
  • Documentation: Certified copy of South African ID document, Updated Curriculum Vitae (CV) detailing educational background and any relevant experience (e.g., practical work, projects), Proof of residence (e.g., utility bill, bank statement)
  • Other Considerations: Good communication skills, Ability to work in a team, Commitment to completing the apprenticeship program
