Investigation and Information Liaison Officer

12 months fixed term contract

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • A bachelor’s degree in information management, Law or a related field.
  • An additional qualification or certification in records management/data protection, investigations, or intelligence is an asset.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in investigative support, information management, stakeholder management, or related roles.
  • Experience in intelligence gathering, data analysis, or managing sensitive information is highly preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a liaison or coordination capacity between multiple teams, especially in legal, security, or law enforcement settings, is beneficial.

DUTIES:

  • Act as liaison between investigators, legal teams, and law enforcement to ensure the free flow of accurate, timely, and secure information.
  • Collect, analyse, and interpret data related to ongoing investigations, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and completeness.
  • Provide support to investigations by, inter alia, arranging interviews, meetings, or briefings with external agencies or witnesses as required
  • Assist in the preparation of investigation reports, ensuring that findings are clearly presented and actionable.
  • Ensure that all information-sharing practices comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Track and monitor the status of ongoing investigations, providing updates and reports to senior management or relevant authorities.
  • Provide training and guidance to internal teams on information handling and legal compliance issues.
  • Assist in identifying potential risks related to information breaches or mishandling during the investigative process

 SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex information.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to clearly explain investigative findings and report status updates to various stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of legal and ethical standards related to investigations, privacy, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple investigations or priorities at the same time.
  • Proficiency with investigative tools, data analysis software (e.g., Excel, Access, or other investigative platforms), and case management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Discretion and the ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
