V&A Waterfront Hospitality Internships: APPLY NOW

Makers Landing has identified the need to provide practical experience for two Hospitality Interns, offering workplace experiential training as well as valuable networking opportunities with Industry leaders. As a Hospitality Intern, you will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities at Makers Landing.

Closing date: Ongoing

Location: Cape Town CBD

Key responsibilities:

  • Storage and Equipment: Oversee all wet and dry storage areas, commercial kitchen equipment, events, demo kitchen equipment, and general hygiene at Makers Landing.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate day-to-day projects and checklist as per schedule.
  • Administrative Tasks: Attend meetings, maintain stock and equipment records, and report on activities at Makers Landing.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with planning and maintaining inventory to ensure controls and minimize waste.
  • Facilitating Communication: Facilitate cross-channel feedback from tenants and customers.
  • Compliance: Ensure all activities conform to set SOP (Standard Operating Procedures).

Requirements:

  • Ability to learn on the job
  • Knowledge of health and safety protocols
  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Interns who require workplace experiential training as part of qualification requirements
  • Willing to work shifts and weekends
