What You’ll Be Doing
As a Warehouse Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering top-notch service to customers and ensuring smooth warehouse operations. Your duties will include:
Receiving & Inbound Tasks
- Check and verify all received goods according to Volvo’s procedures.
- Ensure that all parts match the documentation and meet quality standards.
- Record and report any discrepancies using the GDS system.
- Organize and store parts correctly according to system allocations.
Outbound & Order Processing
- Process customer orders quickly and correctly.
- Pick, pack, and distribute parts following Volvo’s guidelines.
- Ensure all parts are dispatched as per invoice.
- Work closely with the workshop team to ensure technicians get their parts on time.
Handling Returns & Credit Notes
- Verify and process credit notes in line with company policies.
- Ensure all documentation is filed correctly for audit purposes.
- Follow strict guidelines for returns, ensuring non-returnable parts (like electrical components) are not sent back.
Stock Control & Inventory Management
- Conduct daily stock counts to keep inventory accurate.
- Investigate any stock discrepancies and get authorization before making adjustments.
- Maintain a well-organized and secure warehouse.
Warehouse Maintenance & Health and Safety
- Keep the warehouse clean, safe, and organized at all times.
- Ensure that all parts are properly stored and labeled.
- Adhere to Volvo’s health and safety regulations to keep the workplace risk-free.
Requirements – What You Need to Apply
To qualify for this role, you should have:

Matric / Grade 12 qualification
Diploma in Warehouse Management (preferred) OR at least 3 years of warehousing experience
Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team
Self-motivated and organized – able to handle tasks efficiently
Strong attention to detail – especially for stock control and record-keeping
Time management skills – ability to work in a fast-paced environment
