Formula 1 fans can gear up for the 2025 season by watching the latest season of Formula 1: Drive to Survive.

The Netflix docuseries reveals the true story of the high-octane sport, going behind the scenes each season since 2018.

Storylines include changes that a team undergoes after an ownership change, drivers’ relationships, and the pressure felt to outperform other drivers.

F1 and Netflix have announced that Season 7 of the hit series Formula 1: Drive to Survive will be released on 7 March, offering fans a fresh perspective on all the on and off-track action.

The 2024 season

The 2024 Formula 1 season was marked by fierce competition and significant driver movements.

Key storylines from the season, including Max Verstappen’s fourth World Championship and McLaren’s first Constructors’ Championship in 26 years, will undoubtedly feature prominently in Drive to Survive Season 7

After years with Mercedes, Lewis Hamilton joined Ferrari, aiming to end the team’s 16-year championship drought. Carlos Sainz’s move from Ferrari to Williams was one of the major storylines of 2024, but fans are still eagerly anticipating his performance in the 2025 season.

The series will feature Lando Norris emerging as a strong contender for the Drivers’ Championship for 2025, and will focus on drivers like Oscar Piastri and Liam Lawson who made waves on the track. Piastri secured a victory in Hungary and Lawson joining Red Bull for the 2025 season.

Intense competition in Drive to Survive season 7

Tom Hutchings, Executive Producer at Box to Box Films, promises plenty of drama and fun in the new season.

Viewers can expect to see the competition for top drivers, experience a weekend with the drivers at the toughest race of the year, and witness a nail-biting finish.

Drive to Survive Season 7 drops just before the 2025 season kicks off with the Australian Grand Prix from 14 – 16.

In addition to the new Drive to Survive season, 2025 promises another Formula 1 highlight: a thrilling Brad Pitt movie, where the actor stars as a veteran driver making a comeback to the sport.

Produced in collaboration with F1, the film takes a deeper look into the high-speed world of racing. The film will feature intense competition, drama, and behind-the-scenes action.

According to F1, the movie is scheduled for theatre release on 25 June internationally.
