Skomota has been winning big since his thrust into the limelight and has since spread his wings beyond dancing.

The viral sensation who made headlines in 2023 after reportedly winning a jackpot has since become a star performer who has wowed many with his viral dance moves.

SKOMOTA’S RECENT DJING SET TRENDS

He now also doubles as a host and has had his fair share of headlines with his DJing skills. Thanks to his huge social media following, Skomota often trends whenever he posts or gets posted.

The star is trending after his recent set went viral on X, formerly Twitter. The star spun the decks in a now-viral video making the rounds online, but fans were not happy with his set.

Since it went viral online, the video has received thousands of comments and reactions. Fans were more than convinced that it was staged for content.

‘THIS PROFESSION IS NOT RESPECTED AT ALL’

A concerned user commented, “This profession is not respected at all.” Another user, @SirBruno12, added, “Two USB drives were spotted on a pioneer deck. We jive and never judge.”

Reacting to Skomota’s set, another user added, “We watch, listen, and not judge… As long as people from Limpopop are happy.”

However, little is known about the joint he was at when the video was taken and whether he was booked.

MAKING HEADLINES
Surprisingly, this is not the first time he has made headlines with his DJing skills. Last year, he made headlines in September and December when his viral sets made the rounds online.

However, not everyone was impressed by Skomota’s sets, with award-winning singer and producer Prince Kaybee voicing his concerns.

The celebrated muso said, “Music is the most disrespected art to date.”

In 2023, against his newfound fame, a rumour mill revealed that Skomota makes around R545 000 monthly.

However, in 2024, he made headlines after a leaked chat revealed that Skomota costs R90 000 to book. His management seemingly blueticked the reports.

Skomota once suspended all bookings amid exploitation rumours. The decision came after his close friend and road manager accused Moruti wa Dikota of exploitation.

Skomota’s friend Skothane sa Pitori revealed that Moruti wa Dikota allegedly defrauded the star thousands.

While on the LiPO Podcast, Skothane sa Pitori said Skomota has no bank account. He added that all his bookings are made through Dikota’s account, which Skomota cannot access.
