Eastern Cape

The Western half – wind: The wind along the coast will be light and variable in places at first, otherwise light to moderate south-westerly, reaching fresh in places from the afternoon.
The Eastern half: Morning fog patches in places at first. It will be cloudy along the coast, otherwise fine and warm to hot, but very hot in the north-west, becoming partly cloudy with scattered thunderstorms from the afternoon, but isolated north of the escarpment.
The Eastern half – wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-easterly north of Coffee Bay, otherwise light westerly, becoming moderate to fresh south-westerly from late morning.

IMPACT-BASED WARNINGS
A. Yellow level 2 warning: Severe thunderstorms resulting in localised damage to settlements, property and vehicles due to damaging winds, hail and excessive lighting are expected over the eastern parts of the Eastern Cape, south of the escarpment.
FIRE DANGER WARNINGS
Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the central and southern parts of the Northern Cape, extreme southern parts of the Free State, north-eastern parts of the Western Cape as well as places in the western half of the Eastern Cape.
ADVISORIES
Extremely hot conditions are expected in places over the western interior of the Eastern Cape, while hot and humid conditions will result in extremely uncomfortable conditions over the south-eastern interior of the Eastern Cape.
