Movement Communications Specialist (Europe)
Location: Remote (European region)
The Foundation is also hiring a Movement Communications Specialist dedicated to Europe. This role involves bringing people together through celebration, workshops, and strategic communication initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with the Movement Communications team and the wider Communications Department, helping to foster understanding across Wikimedia communities. Fluency in English and at least one other European language—specifically German or Russian—is required to succeed in this position.
Contract Project Manager
Location: Remote (preferably in EST zone)
The Foundation is looking for a Contract Project Manager to support the Communications department. This role involves managing cross-team projects aligned with the Foundation’s annual strategic plan. The Project Manager will work with a talented team of project managers, writers, designers, and marketers, ensuring initiatives are executed efficiently. Responsibilities include coordinating timelines, tracking budgets, facilitating communication, and providing project support across teams. The position offers flexibility, with a preference for candidates in the Eastern Standard Time zone, working with colleagues across the U.S., Europe, Africa, Asia, and Southeast Asia.
Senior Marketing Manager
Location: Remote
Wikimedia Foundation seeks a Senior Marketing Manager to lead innovative campaigns aimed at engaging young audiences, particularly those aged 18-25, through short-form video platforms like TikTok and Instagram Reels. This role is part of the Foundation’s Future Audiences initiative, which aims to grow diverse audiences and bring Wikipedia’s wealth of knowledge to new generations. The successful candidate will develop and execute creative strategies, lead a dynamic team, and craft compelling content that resonates with youth worldwide.

Senior Specialist, Global Meetings
Location: Remote
This role manages the full lifecycle of international meetings and multi-day workshops for the Foundation’s staff. With over 700 employees globally, hosting around 35 in-person or hybrid events annually, the Senior Specialist ensures seamless logistics, vendor management, budgeting, safety planning, and on-site coordination. The role also involves supporting large internal and community-facing events, providing exceptional service to both virtual and traveling participants.

- Senior Trust & Safety Policy Manager: Focused on creating safe, inclusive environments for Wikimedia’s diverse volunteer community, this role involves shaping policies that promote safety and fairness across all projects.
