Will any final SASSA grant payments for 2024/2025 financial year be early?

The 2024/2025 financial year for the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) grant payments comes to an end in March 2025.

With these being the final payments to be made from this financial year, will any beneficiaries receive them early before changes are introduced? Find out the dates for SASSA grants for March below.

SASSA GRANT PAYMENTS FOR 2024/2025 FINANCIAL YEAR

According to SASSA’s flyer detailing the dates for the 2024/2025 financial year, payments start from the month of April to March. At the end of every financial year, grant beneficiaries find out whether there will be any significant increases or changes to their grants.

Older persons, child support and disability grants usually expect some form of increase. Howeve, SRD grants face the possibility of coming to an end. So will beneficiaries receive payments earlier than usual before finding out the fate of their social grants?

FINAL PAYMENTS FOR MARCH

These are the SASSA grant payment dates for all the grant beneficiaries for the month of March.

The dates for grants below will be exactly on the same date that payments were made in February.

• Older persons grant – 4 March
• Disability grant – 5 March
• Child support grant – 6 March

It seems those that might be paid a bit earlier in March are the SRD grant beneficiaries. Payments will reportedly be made from 24 – 29 March for these grant recipients. This means they will start being processed significantly earlier, especially compared to February.
